How this estimate works
The hourly floor is (monthly take-home goal + monthly business costs) ÷ (1 − reserve percentage) ÷ monthly billable hours.
The project estimate is estimated hours × (1 + scope buffer) × hourly floor + project expenses. Percentages are used as fractions: 25% is 0.25.
Results are shown with up to two decimal places. The hourly equivalent is unavailable when estimated hours are zero. This model does not calculate your actual taxes, payment fees or a market rate. Review your costs and tax treatment before quoting.
